From the mural lanes to the sea
Walk to the end of the mural lanes and you reach the sea. Low walls painted with shoals of bright fish face the sand there, with basket boats drying in the sun.
Villagers are used to seeing travelers sit on the walls to watch the sea. Mornings bring a cool breeze and the boats coming home; in the afternoon the light softens, the beach empties and only the waves are left.
Walk slowly and listen
Go slowly, greet the people you meet and don't be shy to ask about their lives. A painting, a corner of the beach or a small story may be what you remember most when you leave Tam Thanh.
